XlibrisPublishing Services Provider
.Xlibris enables
anyone who wishes to publish a book with the ability to do so. The books
are developed with off-the-shelf software and output through full color
and single color digital presses. They are hand bound in hardback or
softcover depending on the service level purchased. They are
then copyrighted, submitted to the Library of Congress and made available
to all book retailers through distribution channels, such as LSI and
Ingram.
They were one of the very first and are one of the largest print-on
demand, self-publishing companies in the marketplace.
Their competitive space is known as Print-On-Demand
(POD) Publishing. This new relatively new and simple idea is revolutionizing
the publishing industry. |

My Role
Developed new products and services,
directed creative development for marketing, created color picture book
product and launched internal branding campaign.
Product Development
Created the systems, standards
and processes to develop their print-on-demand color picture books product.
Created a suite of marketing service products. Developed and defined
the marketing strategy and materials to promote the products calling
on the companys position of innovation and leadership within its
marketplace. Nine months after the Xlibris Picture Book Service launched,
the product sales revenue tripled expectations.
Strategic Branding
Worked to reposition the company,
find significant points of differentiation in its competitive space,
develop fresh creative and launch a campaign of direct mail and placement
ads - saturating the market with the message of literary success through
alternative publishing. |
